Snoring Remedies - Part 2
In this article we will detail several
more tips which you can use to reduce a snoring
problem.
Although most of these tips aren’t
rocket science, it’s worth giving a few of them a try…
especially if you are a light snorer.
With this in mind, let’s get started on
the next section of stop snoring treatments:
The first tip is to try keeping to a
regular sleeping routine. This can help stop your snoring from
waking up a partner or loved one.
Another tip is to consume some
honey just before you go to sleep. This will act as a lubricant
to your throat and stop the loudness of your snoring. If you’re
a light snorer, it may even cure your snoring
completely.
Stay away from eating a large meal
right before bed. Why? Because when you fill your stomach, it
will push your diaphragm… which will make it harder to breathe,
and cause you to snore louder.
You can also try sleeping on a firmer
pillow. This will help your air passages. If you sleep in a
pillow that is too soft, it will cause the muscles in your
throat to relax which will make you snore.
Here’s a good tip: Try inhaling some
steam before you go to sleep, and also get a humidifier for
your room to use through the night.
This will moisturize your throat and
reduce your snoring. Often, your snoring could be aggravated by
dryness. Adding moisture to the air will counteract
this.
Some people have success with nasal
strips. Some people don’t. Either way, it may be worth giving
them a try if you haven’t before. They are awkward at first,
but can help.
If you smoke, it may be worth quitting,
because smoking has been linked with making snoring worse.
Quitting the smoking habit will be good for your health in
general, too.
