Snoring Remedies - Part 1
In this article we will explain some of
the things you can do to relieve the symptoms of
snoring.
Although these tips may not cure your
snoring completely, they may help to reduce the sound – and
help your partner get a better night’s sleep, too..
Here are the tips:
Here’s the first tip: If you snore,
never drink alcohol or take sleeping pills before you go to
sleep for the night.
Why?
Because both of these things will make
the muscles in your throat relax… which, in turn, restricts the
airflow when you breathe. This will cause you to snore
louder.
Next tip: Try elevating your head
when you’re asleep. The simplest way of doing this would be to
use an extra pillow or two... or maybe just use thicker
pillows. This will help you breathe better in the night and
therefore reduce your snoring.
Another tip: Always try to avoid
consuming any dairy products before you go to sleep. Why?
Because dairy products often increase mucus production, which
is going to make you snore more.
Here’s an important tip: If you’re
overweight, the best way to stop your snoring is to shred the
excess pounds. The excess weight will restrict airflow when you
breathe, getting rid of it will help you with snoring… and many
other areas of health and fitness.
If you sleep on your back, try sleeping
on your side. This will reduce snoring, and may even eliminate
the problem completely if you’re a mild snorer.
A common method that is often
recommended to help you sleep on your side instead of your
back, is to sow something that will be uncomfortable to lie on
(such as a golf ball) into the back of your pyjamas.
So when you roll over onto your back in
your sleep, you will roll back over onto your side without
waking up. This is due to the discomfort it will create. If you
have a problem staying on your side while you sleep, this may
be worth a try.
In conclusion, these tips will help you
to reduce your snoring in various degrees. While they may not
cure your snoring problem overnight, they may help you to get a
better night’s sleep.
